UTXO Count - Value Bands

UTXO Count - Age Bands shows the distribution of the number of UTXOs according to its value.

Definition

UTXO Count - Age Bands shows the distribution of the number of UTXOs according to its value. Each colored band represents the number of UTXOs in existence, that has a value within the denoted range. This indicator can be used to estimate the number of whale and retail holders by comparing each band.

Metric

Definition

UTXO Count - Value Bands

Each colored band represents the number of UTXOs in existence, that have a value within the denoted range.

UTXO Count - Value Bands (%)

Each colored band represents the ratio of the number of UTXOs in existence, that have a value within the denoted range.

Interpretation

This indicator can be used to estimate the number of whale and retail holders by comparing each band. UTXO Count- Value Bands could be interpreted as a 'proxy' to the actual holders count that fit according to the Value Band.

By value itself

  • High value(Native Value) & Dominance(%) in certain UTXO Value Band - High Number of investors that fit the Value Band

For example, if the UTXO Value Band of 1k to 10k has the greatest UTXO Count - Value Bands,

1) It is possible to interpret it as investors that hold at least 1k to 10k (possible whales) take a large portion of the market in terms of the number of participants.

2) The price range bought at the time could indicate an important price level in the market in terms of the number of holders.

  • Low value(Native Value) & Dominance(%) in certain UTXO Value Band -Low Number of investors that fit the Value Band

For example, if the UTXO Value Band of 1k to 10k has the least UTXO Count - Value Bands,

1) It is possible to interpret it as investors that hold at least 1k to 10k (possible whales) take a small portion of the market in terms of the number of participants.

2) The price range bought at the time could indicate a less important price level in the market in terms of the number of holders.

By examining trend

  • Greater UTXO Value Bands Gaining Dominance or Larger in Depth = Increasing Whale Dominance - Holders that have the possibility of being a whale is increasing in numbers

  • Smaller UTXO Value Bands Gaining Dominance or Larger in Depth = Decreasing Whale Dominance -Holders that have the possibility of being retail is increasing in numbers
